北华捷报（North China Herald）报纸名。又名《华北先驱周报》或《先锋报》。道光三十年六月二十六日（1850.8.3）英人奚安门（Henry Shearman）创办于上海。国内最早的英文周报。咸丰九年（1859）起成为英国驻上海领事馆和商务参赞公署公布通告、发布消息的机关报。太平天囯革命期间，该报刊载大量有关太平军的报道，翻译了不少太平天囯印书和文件，是研究太平天囯历史的重要资料。同治三年（1864）因关于船舶及商业之材料日多，另出日报《字林西报》，该报则改成《字林西报》的星期日副刊。1951年3月31日停刊。
