释义	异牟寻（754—808）南诏第六世王。唐蒙舍川（在今云南巍山）人。姓蒙氏。乌蛮（彝族）。唐大历十四年（779），继立。同年与吐蕃合兵二十万分三路犯蜀。唐右神策都将李晟等将兵大破之，追至大渡河南。蕃、诏兵死近十万。吐蕃悔怒，惧徙阳苴咩城（今大理市大理镇）。吐蕃降封为日东王，不以兄弟之国待之，且敛求无度。因纳清平官郑回弃蕃归唐之议，于贞元九年（793）遣使诣剑南、西川节度使韦皋，表请归唐。十年与唐使者盟于点苍山。同年自将数万兵大破吐蕃于神川（今云南丽江北一带），取铁桥等十六城。又破范蛮（傣族）、施蛮、顺蛮（傈僳族），定麽些蛮（纳西族）。归唐后，送大臣子弟入成都就学，屡联唐败吐蕃军，比年朝贡，唐亦厚礼之。元和三年（808）卒，唐为之废朝三日。
